Junior Identity Engineer

As a Junior Identity Engineer, you will support clients by configuring, managing, and optimizing the SPHEREBoard platform. In this role, you will work closely with our cutting edge SPHEREBoard product, gaining hands-on experience in IT security and Identity Access Management (IAM). You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for best practices. Additionally, you’ll develop a solid foundation in IAM, learning key concepts such as user authentication, authorization, and secure identity management.
You’ll collaborate with experienced team members, participate in ongoing training and professional development, and contribute to maintaining the security and integrity of client systems. This position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret account, permission, entitlement, and metadata to identify and mitigate IAM security risks.
  • Architect, install, implement, and migrate the SPHEREBoard platform across various client environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical design guides, policy documentation, and process runbooks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Leverage data analytics to communicate IAM security risks and remediation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute risk remediation plans, ensuring compliance with change control procedures.
  • Gather client requirements and work with the development team to enhance the SPHEREBoard solution.
  • Exhibit strong communication and leadership in monitoring domain security, vulnerabilities, and IAM practices.
  • Complete projects on time, ensuring alignment with client engagements and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Participate in special projects involving Unstructured Data, Privileged Access, IAM, Active Directory, UNIX, and more.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and security concepts across Unstructured Data, Privileges Access Management, Active Directory, and more.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with advanced skills in MS Excel and MS SQL.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with security solutions such as Varonis, StealthBits, Symantec, CyberArk, Centrify, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, OIM, and others.
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure platforms, including Active Directory, CIFS File Systems, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and SQL.
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills for analyzing and presenting large data sets.

Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends) when necessary due to client constraints.
  • For certain roles, the ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City/Northern New Jersey area.
